Long Bay Beach: How To Get There
Long Bay is just that…a really long bay with miles of white sand. It used to be quite difficult to get to the bay (unless you were renting a house on the beach), but there are now 2 sand paths to the beach.
Right past Curlew Road, there is a painted sign for Beach Trail. Follow the sandy trail up the hill to easy access the beach. Be sure to look for the lovely wild orchids that line the path.
This beach is perfect for people that love to take long strolls on the beach. It is very flat and full of sea shells (especially conch shells) to collect.
We have also heard that the Shore Club access is great for kite boarders or those wanting to watch them from picnic tables.
Long Bay Beach Directions from Leeward Highway
Pass Tower Road
Left onto Long Beach Highway
Left onto Lignum Vitae (drive slowly….big holes)
Right onto Long Beach Drive
Pass Windhaven Gates and park on the shoulder of the road
Access Lane 1 is on the left and a bit of an uphill walk
Beach Trail is further down Long Beach Drive and right past Curlew Road. It is less steep than the other entrance, but softer sand. Regardless of which route you take, you’ll love Long Bay Beach and the fact that it is very private (as most tourists do not know how to find it)!
